TEACHERS’ DAY CUM LFI GOT TALENT 2022
In a unique exhibition of honor, color and vibrancy of diverse cultures, Livingstone Foundation International celebrated the Teachers’ Day along with the conduct of its multi-talent annual programme entitled ‘LFI Got Talent’ on the 5th of September 2022. The event was made all the more colorful with the observance of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People where the four houses, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John put on display miniature tableaus depicting the diverse life and culture of the Maoris of New Zealand, Massais of Africa, Ainus of Japan and Samoas of Polynesia.
During the occasion, students of various grades show-cased their unique talents including dance, singing, speech, poetry recitation, display of martial arts, instrumentals and many more much to the appreciation of the audience which included among others the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema and Director LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, along with other distinguished invitees parents and guardians. The event was also attended by the Naga icon of music, Mr. Alobo Naga who is also a visiting mentor of Music at LFI. The esteemed panel of judges on the occasion included Skills Mentors of LFI, Ms. Lironi Kithan, Music Mentor, Mr. Tiayanger Imsong, Martial Art Mentor, Mr. Imlimongba, Art & Calligraphy Mentor and Mr. Talitemjen, Zumba Mentor.
The 1st Prize was clinched by Mr. Imnatoshi Longkumer of Grade-XI Arts for his stunning display of Taekwondo Steps while the 2nd Prize was won by Ms. Karma Chozom of Grade-IX for her Mashup Dance item. Mr. Sentilong Lemtur of Grade-XI Arts bagged the 3rd Prize for his melodious rendition of ‘River Flows in You’. Three consolation prizes were also presented to Ms. Jiya Bhagat & Ms. Monika Kumari of Grade-X for their Duet Dance performance, Ms. Parinaya Sharma for her Hindi Dance and Mr. Aman Dey of Grade-VIII for his ‘De Tali’ performance.
The programme came to its eventful conclusion with the felicitation of the mentors, special invitees and the winners of the LFI Got Talent Show by the Chairman and Director. Few mentors and staff members of the school who have completed momentous 10 to 20 years of service were also specially felicitated during the occasion.
