MOCK DRILL BY NSDMA 2022
The personnel of Nagaland State Disaster Management Agency (NSDMA) conducted a mock drill on fire and safety at the school campus of Livingstone Foundation International on 28th May 2022. The team from NSDMA consisted of three officers and eight fire men.
During the course of the mock drill, they demonstrated different types of emergency rescue lifts meant for carrying injured people from places of disasters, which includes 2 hands, 3hands lift and 4 hands lifts. They also instructed the students how to react when a fire or earthquake takes place. They highlighted the importance of not panicking but being calm and moving out in an orderly fashion. They also advised the students that during a fire break out one should announce that a fire is taking place and ring up the fire department immediately.
The NSDMA personnel also demonstrated the use of different fire extinguishers for different types of fire break outs. Later, the personnel were felicitated with school magazines and mementoes. Overall the event was truly informative and enlightened in great detail about fire safety and emergency.
