LFI GRADUATION DAY CUM BOOK LAUNCH 2022
Livingstone Foundation International organized its Graduation Day Ceremony at its Green Lawn on 23rd April 2022 with Hon’ble Minister of Higher & Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Govt. of Nagaland, Shri Temjen Imna Along as the Chief Guest. A book entitled ‘3C SOS – The Final Answer’ authored and published by the Chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema was also officially launched by the Hon’ble Minister during the august occasion.
All together 96 students from LFI belonging to various streams of the 2021 batch graduated their Senior Secondary School and will be joining college soon. The programme which began at 11:00 AM opened with invocation by Rev. Saprhulie Solo, Senior Pastor, The Kingdom Church followed by Welcome Address by Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman of LFI. During the convocation ceremony, the grads were awarded with Graduation Certificates. The occasion was made more exhuberant with a very special number by the famous musician and singer, Mr. Alobo Naga who belted out one of his popular numbers. Speeches were also delivered on behalf of both the outgoing grads as well as the present batch of Grade-XII students. A very special number was also presented by Ms. Renemmenla, one of the outgoing graduates.
However, one of the most important episode of the programme was the launching of Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema’s debut book entitled ‘3C SOS – The Final Answer’ by the Chief Guest during which the author gave a short talk on the essence and synopsis of the book. Speaking during the occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Temjen Imna Along called upon the students not only to depend on government jobs but to look beyond and try their hands at businesses and other professions as well. He also highlighted how a major chunk of the state’s GDP is diverted outside the state as most of the students go out of the state for their educational needs. He also appreciated the efforts of schools like LFI and educationists including Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema for making quality education a reality within the state of Nagaland. Another exciting moment during the programme was the surprise appearance and performance by Mr. Pranshu Arora from ‘Inspire the Nation’ which is an initiative of travelling more than 20,000 Kms by road to around 60 cities in 100 days to play music and inspire people to pursue music. On his Nagaland leg of journey which coincidentally happens to be his 23rd leg, he visited LFI and shared some of his moments with the gathering including students. The programme came to its conclusive close with the Closing Note and Benediction by the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi.
The Graduation Day and Book Launch gains even greater significance as, coincidentally, 23rd April is observed worldwide as the UNESCO World Book & Copyright Day. The day also coincides with both the birth as well as the death anniversaries of the greatest English poet, actor and playwright of all times, William Shakespeare.
The Cover of the Book was earlier released on 15th August 2020 by Shri K. Tokugha Sukhalu, Hon’ble Advisor, School Education, Government of Nagaland at Dimapur while the book itself was released by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya and National President, National People’s Party (NPP), Shri Conrad K.
