INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATED BY HOPE CHANNEL
The International Women’s Day was celebrated by the Hope Channel in a very solemn manner at a colourful function at Indisen Corner, Dimapur on 12th of March 2022 at 2:00 PM. The programme was held under the theme ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’ and was organized by Hope Channel, Dimapur, in collaboration with Women Helpline 181 Nagaland, Department of Tourism, Commissioner of Police, Hornbill TV, Dimapur Municipal Council, Commissioner of Excise & Prohibition, Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies and Breeze Women Welfare Association.
The Guest of Honour on the occasion was Km. Munesh, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chumukedima. It was a matter of great pride for Livingstone Foundation International that its Director, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi was appointed as the Brand Ambassador of Hope Channel during the function.
A rare and proud moment for all women, especially of Nagaland, was the flagging off of the 1st Naga Lady Autorickshaw Driver, Ms. Ponglih Konyak by the Guest of Honour. Several women who had contributed towards the benefit of the society and especially for the women in general were also felicitated during the occasion.
