LFI CONDUCTS EVENT ON PROMOTING PEACE
On the sidelines of the war taking place between Russia and Ukraine wherein many precious and innocent lives have been lost and many displaced, Livingstone Foundation International undertook a noble initiative of conducting a special event to denounce war and to promote peace on 5th March 2022. As a part of this initiative, the students of Grade-XI Arts led the School Morning Assembly which was specially conducted to usher in peace and also to stand in solidarity with the victims of the war between Russia and Ukraine. During the course of the assembly, Miss Manshivi Rathore delivered an inspirational speech in which she quoted the former American President, John F. Kennedy’s famous thought provoking words “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country!”
On the solemn occasion, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairma, LFI, exhorted the gathering of students to understand the need to promote peace as they are the future leaders of the land. A special prayer was also said by the Director of LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi for all those who have lost their lives and have been affected by the ongoing war. The event concluded with a photograph session where the students and the mentors displayed slogans supporting peace and condemning war and waved the flags of Ukraine. The students also made a beautiful human formation on the football ground which read ‘Say No to War!’
