Livingstone Foundation International organized its annual Freshers’ Day on the 25th of September 2021.

The program was marked by various colourful and entertaining items by the students as well as mentors.

The welcome address was delivered by Director LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, during which she encouraged the students to explore their hidden talents and potential while remaining positive and open to criticism.

This was followed by the most exciting part of the function which was the Mr. & Miss Freshers 2021 contest where various enthusiastic contestants from amongst the fresh batch of Grade -XI participated and showcased their mettle in facing the crowd and answering some challenging questions posed by the judges. They delighted the audience and judges with a variety of performances show casting their talents through singing, dancing, beat boxing, sketching, painting and skit. The panel of judges included Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman LFI, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director LFI, Mr. Loli Heni, History Mentor along with the School Captains, Mr. Kilto G. Chophy and Miss Mharoni Ezung.

In his keynote address, the Chairman, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema underscored the importance of good decision making and encouraged the students ‘to think tall and aim high’. A speech was also delivered on behalf of the old-timers by Mr. Alemtemsu of Grade-XII which was followed by a glamorous fashion show by the girls of Grade-XII much to the excitement of the audience.

Academic Dean of LFI, Mr Pauly Varghese declared the much anticipated result for the event. Mr. Tsaseli L. Sangtam and Miss Parinaya Prem were adjudged as Mister and Miss Fresher 2021 respectively. Meanwhile, Miss Monika Das won the Style Icon title, Mr. Dhiraj won the Most Talented title and Mr. Gavin Sangma received the Best Personality title. The winners were felicitated with bouquets and gift hampers by the Chairman and Director.

The programme came to a solemn close with the vote of thanks proposed by Miss Rishita Deka which was followed by sumptuous refreshments for all. Overall, it was a wonderful and successful event which left an indelible impression for everyone to cherish.
