LFI Teachers’ Day Celebration 2020
The Stonites Family joined with the rest of the nation in celebrating the Teachers’ Day in a befitting manner on 5th of September 2020. Unlike other years, this time, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, the programme was marked by a brief interaction followed by lunch.
The Chairman, Dr. Andrew Ahoto expressed his happiness about the celebration of the Teachers’ Day. He spoke about the novel profession of teaching and how one must be ready to emulate the examples of great teachers like Guru Dronacharya who taught many skills to various Kings and their children. He also encouraged the mentors to reciprocate and reach out to their students in a positive manner. Speaking about the ongoing online classes,
he expressed his satisfaction that LFI was setting a new trend for the other schools to follow. He also highlighted about the proper use of tools and skills which should be coordinated and properly used so as to leave an indelible mark in the lives of students.
Some of the old mentors also shared their experiences as part of the LFI family. Those who spoke included Mr. P. Mandal, Mr. Pauly Varghese, Mrs. Rina Nath and Mr. Surendra Sah. The closing prayer was said by Ms. Supongbenla,
the school counselor. The brief interaction was followed by a sumptuous lunch which was served at the Dining Hall.
