School Evaluation Visit by Round Square 2018

Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School had a rare privilege of undergoing the School Evaluation Visit by Officials of Round Square on 17th October 2018. As a run up to the school’s affiliation as a Round Square Member school, the team of two officials visited the school for an on campus assessment and interaction with both students as well as mentors along with the Chairman and Director of the school.
The team of Round Square included Mrs. Rajbir (Bubbles) Sandhu who has been the Round Square Mentor and Coordinator for the South Asia and Gulf Region since 2013 and Dr. Nripen Kr. Dutta, the Founder and Principal of Miles Bronson School, Guwahati. They were felicitated upon their arrival by the Chairman, Dr. Andrew Ahoto and Director, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi who led them to a campus tour before their interactions with mentors and students.
During their on campus evaluation, the team had a whole some interaction with 8 mentors and 11 students leaders. In the course of their interaction they shared the goals and ideals of Round Square which was basically humanitarian service and dedicated to the cause of service to mankind. The team was full of appreciation for the wide array of activities that the school conducts and how the school elaborately works towards inculcating the values of leadership and service in the students. Mrs. Sandhu was of the opinion that the school has immense potentialities for becoming an internationally reputed school in the future because of the sincere and dedicated efforts of the students, mentors and the school management.
The team also greatly appreciated the skills and talents of the students who interacted with them and were highly encouraged by their qualities of being frank, full of passion and for having good communication skills. The students were asked such questions as to whether they prefer a collaborative environment or a competitive one and whether they get ample opportunities to expose their leadership qualities. The team also appreciated the craft works of the students. Some of the Bamboo Craft items made by students were presented to the team as souvenirs.
