HIMALAYAN CLEAN UP AT DIMAPUR RAILWAY STATION 2018
Under ‘The Himalayan Clean Up’ initiative there was a Cleanliness Drive organized at Dimapur Railway Station on 26th May 2018. The Cleanliness Drive was organized by several organizations and Institutions of Dimapur including LiFE, Act of Kindness, Trailblazer Society, Dimapur Municipal Council and Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School among others.
LFHSS was represented by 29 students and 4 teachers which included the school’s photographer also. The drive started at 6:00AM and concluded at 8:30AM. It was a fruitful mission where several schools, colleges and NGO’s also participated. The drive was mainly aimed at cleaning up the non-biodegradable wastes including plastic. Some of the schools and NGO’s other than LFHSS which took part in the drive included Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School Dimapur, Emmanuel College Dimapur, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo and DMC.
After the Cleanliness Drive got over, the participants were presented with Certificates of participation along with snacks.
