CAREER GUIDANCE SEMINAR AT THAHEKHU BAPTIST CHURCH 2018
A special Career Guidance Seminar by Youth Net was held at Thahekhu Village Baptist Church on 21st April 2018. The Seminar was organized by Thahekhu Village Students’ Union in collaboration with New Beginnings for Grade-X and XII students of various schools under Thahekhu Village including Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School.
The main Resource Person on the occasion was Ms. Nuneseno Chase, Manager, Learning Development and Talent Management, Youth Net who gave an elaborate presentation of the necessity of various new career options due to job stagnation under Government Sector. She encouraged the students to be open to change and to embrace newer avenues under the Private Sector. She also took a SWOT analysis of the students to find out the various skills of the students and to motivate them to make a self-analysis. The various intelligence of students were also highlighted by Ms. Chase during the seminar.
Earlier giving a brief highlight about Youth Net, Ms. Chase stated that since its inception in 2002, Youth Net was involved in recruitment and training of youth of Nagaland in various field including Automobile Engineering, Interior Designing, Fashion Technology, Animations and various other allied fields which could bring about a revolution in employment generation in Nagaland.
The other Resource Persons from Youth Net included Ms. Tsepila Zhimomi, Operation Supervisor, Talent Management and Ms. Hutoni Shohe, HR Executive, Nagaland Job Centre.
The programme which started at 10:00 am concluded at 2:30 pm during the course of which, refreshments were provided to the students and lunch was served to the teachers and other guests. The other schools, that participated in the seminar, included Log Drum School, Rev. Inache Memorial School, and Trinity School.
