WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2017

Along with the rest of the world, Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School also observed the World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2017 under the theme “Tobacco – a threat to development.” The brief programme was held during the school assembly at both the Junior High as well as the Senior Section.

I. JUNIOR HIGH
            At the Junior High Section, the programme was led by Mr. Karan Ghebring as the MC while the prayer was led by Ms. Imsurenla. The significance of the day was presented by Mrs. Tiajungla Aier while the overall programme was coordinated by Mr. Vernon Fernandez, Asst. Coordinator along with Ms. Kajenkala Alinger and Mr. Isaac Athili, both Asst. Coordinators.
During the 7th and 8th Periods around 315 students from Grades-IV to VIII participated in a Slogan Writing and Painting Competition.

I. SENIOR HIGH SECTION
At the Senior High Section, the overall programme was coordinated by the Coordinator, Mr. Z. Hussain along with active support of the other Asst. Coordinators, Mr. Bhisma Hazarika, Mr. Sanjeev Momin and Mrs. Aggya Thapa. The programme which started at 8:30 was led by Mrs. Aggya Thapa as the MC while the prayer was led by Ms. Nobulu of Grade-XII Sc. The significance of the day was presented by Mr. Sanjeev Momin while a speech on the Ill-effects of Tobacco was given by Ms. Rokovinuo of Grade XII Sc. A word of encouragement was given by the Principal (Academics) Mr. Prabhat Mandal. Last but not the least, the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Zakir Hussain, Coordinator.

During the 7th and 8th periods an Essay Writing and Painting Competition was conducted for students of Grades-IX, X and XII wherein around 367 students participated.
