How to apply for Admission
At Livingstone Foundation College, Admission to all courses is purely done on a first-come-first-serve basis and is primarily based on merit. Applications can be made for the required programme/course within a stipulated period. The College makes every attempt to ensure that every candidate applying for admission gets a seat on priority basis.
The first step to any admission is the Application Stage where the candidate seeking admission should submit the requisite Admission Form duly filled in and signed by the candidate. The Application Form can be procured from the Accounts Section Office. Candidates and their Parents/Guardians are requested to go through the Prospectus properly before filling up the Application Form. The Application Form must be submitted on or before the last date of Admission along with the following:
i. Four Passport-Sized Photographs (Colored).
ii. One attested copy of Admit Card, Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet of previous Grade XII Board Examination.
iii. Photocopy of Birth Certificate.
iv. Photocopy of Registration Certificate of previous Grade XII Board.
v. Original Migration Certificate (for Candidates from other Boards except NBSE).
vi. Gap Certificate (for candidates who are applying after a gap of one year)
vii. SC/ST/OBC Certificate.
viii. Medical Fitness Certificate.
ix. Photocopy of AADHAR Card.
x. Character/Conduct Certificate from the previous institution.
The selection of Candidates is solely at the discretion of the Admissions and Selections Committee of the College headed by the Chairman, College Governing Body. All the Application Forms and supporting documents are minutely scrutinized by the Committee and eligible candidates are called for selection interview and subsequent admission on a specified date. In this regard, the decision of the Committee is final and binding on all. All incomplete Applications will be summarily rejected by the Committee.
It is mandatory that once a student gets admission in the College, he/she has to complete at least one Year in the College. Withdrawal is permissible only under certain conditions for which they have to notify the Admissions and Selections Committee of the College in advance through a written application duly signed by the Parents/Guardians of the students citing valid reasons for their ward’s withdrawal from college.
Rules are meant for regulation, transformation and for development of the lives of those to whom they are applied.
1.Rules concerning Discipline.
i) Students should respect their college uniform and be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The college uniform should be worn on all working days and for all college functions unless advised otherwise.
ii) Students who come to the college with their personal transportation should have valid license and identity proof.
iii) All boys (except Sikhs) must have their hair short. Spiky/trendy hairstyles or coloring of hair will not be permitted. Ear adornments, wrist bands and chains are not permitted.
iv) Girls should not come with inappropriate hairstyles or colored haired or with informal accessories.v) The College property should be respected by all and care should be taken of all college property. No students should damage any college property or litter the college environment. In such cases the concerned student shall be held liable for the damage.
vi) No books other than the College text books or library books should be brought to the college.
viii) Lending or borrowing of money or selling of outside products among the students is strictly prohibited.
ix) Students are not allowed to bring tetra packets or beverages to school.
x) No students should bring or consume tobacco inside the college campus.
2. Rules concerning expulsion/ rustication
i) The College reserves the right to suspend students whose progress is found unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
ii) For students found using unfair means during tests/exams, appropriate action such as suspension/expulsion will be taken as per college rules.
iii) Students who are found to be irregular or fails to reach the required percentage of attendance repeatedly shall be rusticated from the college.
iv) The College authority reserves the right to expel any student if he/she is caught violating the college rules and regulations.
v) The College reserves the right to remodify the rules as and when required.
3. Behavioral Standards
i) No students should come to college under alcohol/drug influence, if found so, appropriate action will be taken against him/her.
ii) Students should follow punctuality and attend every classes regularly unless sick.
iii) Each student should speak English as the medium of language inside the campus.
iv) No Student should bunk his/her classes. If found appropriate action shall be taken.v) Student shall pay attention to cleanliness, good manners and etiquettes. They must abide by the rules and regulations of the college/hostel to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and the good name of the college/hostel.
vi)Students are not allowed to eat or chew inside the classroom.
vii) Shouting, loud talking, whistling or creating unnecessary commotion in the classroom/college is strictly prohibited.
4. Rules concerning Hostel For Girls
i) All hostellers are expected to follow the rules of conduct applicable to the students of the college in the areas of responsible conduct, proper uniform, classroom attendance and appearing in the cycle tests and examinations.
ii) Any absence from the classrooms/ non-appearance in the tests requires the sanction of the hostel superintendent and immediate information of the same to the chairman/administrator/hostel superintendent/ TOD.
ii) All hostellers are encouraged to make the best use of the excellent infrastructure provided in the hostel and to protect it from damage.
iii) Careless breakage or damage is likely to lead to a penalty, the nature of which shall be decided by the hostel superintendent.
iv) Hostellers will be allowed to go for their outings only on the specified days as per College fixture. Please ensure that the students report back to the hostel on the specific day, date and date and time as given in the fixture.
v) If any student overstays her outing and returns late to the hostel, she will not be accepted by the hostel warden unless for genuine medical reasons. Fines will be imposed on students reporting late without information unless for a genuine medical reason.
vi)Full annual charges are to be paid if withdrawn/ expelled during the session for any reason whatsoever.
vii) Parents/Guardians are requested to collect a visiting card from the office of the hostel superintendent. It is to be produced while visiting the student or taking her for outings. No One will be entertained without visiting cards. In case of loose a fresh visiting, card will be issued on payment for a new card.
viii)Close relatives may visit a student only with a written letter or consent from her parents.
ix) Hostellers both on leaving and on returning must be accompanied by their parents or by a person duly authorized by them.
x)Hostellers found under the intoxication of drugs/alcohol shall be expelled outright from both the hostel and college immediately.
xi)Once the ward is admitted into the hostel, she will not be withdrawn under any circumstances. In case the parents wish to withdraw their child from the hostel permanently, full annual charges are to be paid if withdrawn/expelled during the session for any reason whatsoever.
xii)Exercise books, toiletries and stationary items will be issued to the boarders according to their demand and the same will be charged and billed.
