Walking Forward with Wisdom and Faith
As we begin our academic session, we were privileged to gather for a special chapel service to thank God for His faithfulness and seek His blessings for the year ahead.
We were truly blessed by the message shared by Pastor Yanger from The Lighthouse Church. His short reflection challenged us both mentally and spiritually as he reflected on the life of King David. Despite being a man after God’s own heart, King David made serious mistakes through his relationship with Bathsheba and by orchestrating the death of her husband, Uriah, on the battlefield.
The message reminded us that even great people can make wrong choices, but our lives are ultimately shaped not by our background, circumstances, or past failures but by the decisions we make each day.
*Take home message*
“Our background does not determine our future, but the choices we make determine our future.”
It was an enriching thought provoking time that encouraged us to reflect on our own decisions and to seek God’s wisdom in every aspect of our lives. The service was a meaningful start to the new academic session, leaving us motivated to make wise choices and pursue excellence in all that we do.
