CCA INDOOR COMPETITION 2017

Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur held its Annual Inter-House Art & Literary Competition as part of its CCA (Indoor) 2017 from 16th to 19th August 2017. The various items of the competition were under taken under two separate sessions. The competition for the Junior High (Grades 1 to 8) was conducted on 16th and 17th August 2017 whereas the competition for the students of the Higher Section (Grades 9 to 12) was held on 18th and 19th August 2017.

The inaugural function of the CCA (Indoor) 2017 was held at the School’s Auditorium on 16th August which was marked by a colourful programme. The Invocation prayer on the occasion was said by Miss Apen, the School Counsellor while ‘words of encouragement’ was delivered by the Administrator of the School, Mr. Arthur Edwards. The competition on various items including Elocution (English and Hindi) and Singing (Solo, Duet and Group) ensued soon after for the students of Junior High on 16th of August itself while the Inter-House Quiz Competition and Skit Competition were held on the following day i.e. on 17th August 2017.

The inter-house competition for various events of the Senior Section was held on 18th and 19th August 2017. A brief programme was organized on the occasion at the LFHSS Auditorium. During the occasion the invocation prayer was lead by Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director Jr. High while the Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Zakir Hussain, Coordinator. On the first day of the event on 18th August 2017, Elocution (English and Hindi) and Singing (Solo, Duet and Group) were held. On the final day of the competition i.e. on 19th August 2017, Extempore Speech in English, Debate Competition and Inter-House Skit Contest were held. The motion for the Debate was ‘Present Education System in India is responsible for Unemployment Problem’. The CCA Indoor 2017 was formally declared closed by Mr. Shyamal Nag, Vice-Principal (Administration) while the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Prabhat Mandal, Academics Head. The panel of judges for the entire competition included, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Mr. Imlinungba Ao, Mr. Zakir Hussain, Mr. Prakash Yadav, Mr. Sanjeev Momin, Mr. Ringbamdin Gonmei, Ms. Aleno Khatso, Mrs. Shama Owais Chhetri and Mrs. Aggya Thapa.
