A total of 14 students and 1 staff member from Livingstone Foundation International took part in the ALRIS 2020 held at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Chumukedima on the 28th of February 2020 on the occasion of National Science Day which is celebrated to commemorate Sir C.V. Raman for his contribution to the world of science.
The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Saurabh Basu, a renowned physicist, while the guest of honor was Mr Kabyanil Tulakdar , a Guinness book of world record holder in rubik's cube. The students participated in events such as quiz, essay writing, poster making, brain games, elocution and rubik's cube competition. They had a marvelous time in the science lab and the dark room where they witnessed different scientific phenomenon and also played scientific games. It was also an opportunity to witness Mr. Kabyanil Tulakdar’s demonstration of the rubik's cube performance.
The students of LFI were awarded with various prizes. In the rubik's cube competition the 1st to 4th positions were bagged by students from LFI. Master Vineikho of Grade-XI, Master Vizoho of grade XI, Mr Cheton (LFI staff) and Master Mayank Agarwal of Grade-VIII A were the winners respectively. Miss Imnanaro Lemtur of Grade-VB was awarded the 1st position in Category-A of the poster making competition.
Overall the students had an educative as well as entertaining trip to NIT Nagaland where they tried their best in their respective events.
