Livingstone Foundation International observed the World Environment Day on 6th June 2019. The event was observed at both the Junior High as well as the Senior School of LFI by conducting various activities.
At the Junior High Campus members of the Junior High Eco Club from Grades-VII & VIII participated in a tree plantation drive under the mentorship and guidance of Mr. Ringbamdin Gonmei. A special painting competition on the theme of environment was also organized during the occasion for Grades-VII and VIII students.
 At the Senior School Campus, the Programme was organized by the Senior School Eco Club members. The programme was conducted during the Morning Assembly where the mentors as well as the students presented an array of interesting items. The programme was led by Mr. Pauly Varghese, Eco Club Mentor as the MC while the school prayer was led by Ms. Imkonglemla Imchen. The significance of the Day was read out by Ms. Anwesha Dey of Grade-XII Sc. A Special Number was also presented on the occasion by Ms. Sentitola and friends.
As a symbolic gesture of protecting the nature, Mr. Arthur Edwards, Administrator of LFI tied ribbons around trees. He also encouraged the gathering with his words of wisdom in which he highlighted the objectives of protecting the environment by being eco-friendly. After this, the Environment Day Pledge was led by Mr. Thuireishang Jamang, Eco Club Mentor, where all the Heads, Mentors and Students took a solemn pledge to make every effort to protect and preserve the environment. This was followed by School Song led by Mr. Tovi of Grade-XII Arts and Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Prabhat Mandal, Academic Principal. The programme culminated with the planting of tree saplings at the senior school compound by the heads led by the Administrator.
