CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT LOMITHI COLONY 2019

As a part of its community service, the Grades-X and XII (Arts) Boarders from Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School took part in a Cleanliness Drive at the garbage dump located beside the Hokishe Sumi Road in Lomithi Colony.

The Cleanliness Drive was initiated by the Chairman, Dr. Andrew Ahoto who also actively took part in the social service activity along with the students and mentors. The main aim behind the drive was to create awareness among the local populace on the importance of keeping the suburbs free from unwanted wastes and not to dump wastes beside the main roads. The ongoing social networking challenge titled “Thrash Tag Challenge” also greatly motivated the school administration to take up the social work in the vicinity.

During the social work, the students, along with the mentors took up the mammoth task of clearing up the scattered garbage beside the road and piling them up. Later on the piles were all set to fire. The drive which started at around 3:30 PM went on till 6:30 PM.
