WORKSHOP ON CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE BY MUKTHA FOUNDATION

 

A workshop on Child Sexual Abuse was conducted for students of Grades-IV to VII at the LFHSS Auditorium on 29th January 2019. The workshop was conducted by Mukhta Foundation as a part of a nationwide campaign on prevention of child sexual abuse which started from 1st of January 2019 in a concerted effort to make child safety a national priority.
A team of mental health professionals led by Mrs. Ashwini N.V, Founder Director of Muktha Foundation conducted the workshop which began at around 9:30 AM. The team was welcomed and by the Chairman of LFHSS, Dr. Andrew Ahoto and Director, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi. During the course of the workshop Mrs. Ashwini N.V.dwelt on the ways and means of identifying child sexual abuse especially in schools and to tactfully handle the situation. The primary objective of the workshop to ensure that no child in Livingstone Foundation School is abused and no child fears being abused.
Experts from Mukhta Foundation led by Mrs. Ashwini would be travelling to all 29 States and 3 Union Territories for 75 days non-stop to conduct over 150+ Programmes to train over 1 Lakh children and other stakeholders such as teachers, parents and other community members on ways and means to protect children against sexual abuse.
