Under the banner of All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Central, Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School joined hands with the rest of the country in endorsing the ‘Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan’ (Save Education Campaign) spearheaded by National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA). Under the directives of the NISA, Private Schools all over India, including LFHSS, decided to endorse this mega campaign by showing solidarity and support to the NISA to fight in a collaborative manner against injustices meted out towards the Private Schools by the Indian Government.

The main event entitled ‘Chalo Delhi’ will be held at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on 7th April 2018 where a mega rally will be held to voice out the grievances of all the Private Schools in India. As many schools remain closed on Saturday in Nagaland, the closure of schools may not have the desired effect. Therefore, ANPSA Central has directed the Private Schools all over Nagaland to put up the NISA ‘Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan’ banners in front of the School gates and click photographs and send it to ANPSA to be forwarded to NISA.
At LFHSS, this was done on 5th April 2018 wherein Students of Grade-XII and Teachers along with the Chairman, Mr. Andrew Ahoto and Director Jr. High, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi took photographs with the banners and showed solidarity and support to this movement.
The NISA’s three basic demands to the Government are Shiksha (Education), Suraksha (Security) and Samman (Respect). It is fighting for the rights of all the Private Schools in India which have been either sidelined or neglected by the Indian Government for a long time and draconian laws are always enforced against the Private Schools though quality education is provided by the Private Schools alone. The Save Education Campaign has been initiated to draw the attention of the Government towards the hard-hitting fact that the unrealistic norms set for Private Schools, which the Government run schools are not able to fulfill, are unacceptable to the Private Schools.
