The LFHSS Students’ Council Elections to elect the House Captains and Vice-Captains of four different Houses viz. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were held for the Junior High on 28th April and for the Senior School on 2nd May 2018. The announcements for the Elections in both the sections were done on 23rd April 2018 and subsequently nominations were filed from amongst the students a few days ahead of the Polling Day. The student contestants were made to campaign for few days before the actual polls. During the Campaign Process, the various nominated members addressed the members of their own houses and presented brief campaign speeches and also they carried out elaborate student-to-student canvassing for garnering their support and vote during the Election.

In the Junior High School, the voting date was fixed on 28th April, Saturday at 9:30 AM. On the day of the polling at Junior High, Mrs. Ani Yepthomi addressed the students and the mentors before the polling started. Separate Polling Booths were put up for the four different Houses in different designated class rooms. At the appointed time students lined up at the Assembly Area and the nominated members of the Houses were apprised about the polling procedures. This was followed by the students of different Houses casting their votes in separate classrooms designated for the purpose. The important guests who visited the Junior High during the Election were the Chairman, Mr. Andrew Ahoto, Mr. Arthur Edwards, Administrator, Mrs. Nisheli Edwards, Co-Administrator and Heads and Mentors from Senior School. After the polling was over, the students were given a break and sent home for the day followed by the counting process of votes.

In the Senior School, the campaigning started from 25th April 2018 wherein the nominated members spoke publicly to garner support. The polling date was scheduled on 2nd May 2018, Wednesday. Hectic preparations were made and decorations were done under the guidance of the House Masters and House Mistresses. Separate polling booths were allotted for each house in separate classrooms while the booth for the School Captains was set up at the Assembly Podium Area. Mr. Andrew Ahoto, Chairman and Mrs. Ani Yepthomi, Director Junior High also visited the Senior Campus during the polls and took stock of the overall situation. Around 420 students cast their votes during the election. The counting of votes was conducted for the Senior School on 3rd May 2018 after the long recess.
